Yoga with Carla

About me

Hello. I am a qualified Yoga alliance teacher based in Alkimos, Perth, Western Australia. After practicing Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga for 15 years I wanted to share my love and passion for it with others so I decided to train as a Yoga teacher and complete my 200 hours back in England where I lived until June 2024. My desire is for people to take some time out of their busy lives to focus on their mind,body and soul. These feelings inform and guide my teaching and practice, which is focused on helping people connect on a deeper level to themselves and their surroundings. ​ I also was a qualified Phlebotomist in the UK based at Winchester hospital for 13 years and I found working in such a busy environment (especially over the pandemic) very challenging at times. Yoga was the tool I was using consistently, helping to boost my immune system and encouraging me to relax after a gruelling day.

I have been very fortunate to have worked in some lovely venues in the UK, one being at Limewood, a 5 star hotel in the New Forest, where I used to teach 1 x 90 minute Vinyasa class and 1 x 90 minute Yin class.  I had admired Limewood for so long so was thrilled to have the opportunity. In my 18 months there, I have been lucky to teach at special retreats as well as teach private classes. I also  was a cover teacher at the Village Hotel and was employed at Places of Leisure Eastleigh teaching a weekly class in which I was a member for years. For me, to spread Yoga throughout the community, whether it is in a gym based environment or venues that cater for all levels, then I feel I am doing my job well.

Chair Yoga was introduced in 2023 and this became another passion of mine; To bring anyone with health restrictions or limitations together and being able to provide a yoga Practice with use of a chair. This became a social event including coffee and tea and was one of my proudest classes.

I believe Yoga to be the source of vital and inner energy of our body and mind; Giving us peace of mind and helping to revitalise our lifestyle. So book a class now and start leading a healthier lifestyle.
